Table is set for the LIDAH AKU PUNYA stab binding workshop!
I've been allocated this wonderful space in the Living Room of The Arts House to give this stab binding workshop.
The Living Room used to be the general office of the Old Parliament House, in which administrators coordinated papers and reports for Parliamentary sessions between 1955-1959.
Can't wait to start!
These will be for sale at the booth as part of LIDAH AKU PUNYA (This Tongue is Mine) merch.
The Stab Binding workshop I'll be conducting this Saturday 24 Sept will cost $5/pax, but a bundle deal is also available for those who are catching the live poetry performances (held in Malay) at LIDAH AKU PUNYA (This Tongue is Mine).
Bundle Deal (Perf+Workshop)
Regular - $18.00, Concession - $13.00 (Student/Senior/NS-Men)
What are you waiting for? Register here now!
Almost done with prep. . . spent the afternoon recoiling the embroidery threads so that participants will not have trouble with tangles during the workshop!
I'll also be sharing some tricks to prevent tangling, inspired by my friend Kel Win, whose mom's a seamstress. That's her trick of the trade.
So... have you signed for this workshop yet?

I'll be conducting a Japanese Book Binding workshop as a fringe activity of LIDAH AKU PUNYA (This Tongue is Mine) on 24th September in 4 sessions (1/2 hr each) from 3pm to 7pm in Living Room @ The Arts House.
Sign up now (indicating your preferred timeslot) as we have limited seats! All materials provided!
See you there!
What have I done with some leftover material from a previous workshop? Make use of them for an upcoming one! I also couldn't resist purchasing more to add to the pile. Scrapbooking papers can be really vibrant, yet I'm not really sure if they would suit every individual. I thought we will need some covers that are more gender neutral to justify my extra purchases.
Sure enough, I purchased more than I actually need... Workshop participants, you're bound to be spoiled in this workshop!
And... to justify for the purchase of more scrapbooking papers, I'd say, I'll take this workshop a-travelling!
